You’ll also find the Museum of Contemporary Art in the middle of this neighborhood, which not only has regular exhibitions, but also hosts modern film, music, and dance performances.
The finest shopping strip west of Park Avenue, North Michigan Avenue’s "Magnificent Mile" is home to some of the biggest names in the business- Macy’s, Sak’s Fifth Avenue, Chanel, and Prado to name a few. Don’t forget Oak Street and its famous boutique designers including Vera Wang, Kate Spade, Hermes, Lester Lampert and more. If that’s not enough, there’s always Barney’s of New York and the unbelievable in-door mall, Water Tower Place. Eight exquisite floors of shopping and eating with more than 120 specialty shops, seven cinemas, and several choices in restaurants
As for education, besides Chicago’s public schools, you can choose from private and parochial schools. Schools such as Montessori School Near-North, Latin School of Chicago, Francis Parker School, Quigley Seminary North and St. Ignatius College Prep to name a few.
Public transportation-taxis, buses, subways, elevated trains, and expressways make it easy to get around the city and to and from the suburbs.
